Frequently Asked Questions

Q. What is Timber Frame?

A: Timber frame is a method of construction where the walls of the building are made of timber panels (rather than bricks or blocks) and the upper floors and roof are supported by these panels.

Q: What is CE Marking?

A: CE marking is an EU “fitness for purpose” standard. It is legally required throughout the EU in order to prove that the roof truss does what is supposed to in terms of structural design, durability, manufacturing tolerances etc.

Q: How long will it take from start to finish?

A: From an initial request for a price quotation, the process to delivery will take around 8 weeks, depending on the nature of the building.

Q: Why is timber frame better than brick and block?

A: Timber frame is superior to brick and block in the areas of speed of build, thermal performance and flexibility of design, to name but a few.

Q: Are your trusses treated?

A: Yes, they are treated against moisture decay and insect attack.
